In talking with some of my friends, I realized it can be a little difficult to find gifts for the more masculine individual,or even something that’s more unisex and not pink or blue. Most of the things I found were mugs that said “Greatest Dad” or hunting shirts. I don’t know very many people that like either one of those. Here’s a few finds that I think would work great for someone whose a little more masculine, or gender neutral.
:: slim wallet :: travel kit ::
:: facial oil :: oxford suede cologne ::
:: chevron ipad case :: plaid scarf ::
:: iphone stand :: brown leather cuff ::
It feels like December is already flying by! Just a few days left of shopping.. kind of.
On this next installment of etsy finds, I bring you some great stocking stuffers for under $20! One of the hardest things about the holidays is spending money. We all want to make sure we tell those people in our lives that they mean the world to us, without going bankrupt. This is definitely wear buying local and handmade comes in handy.
I love etsy for that reason. So many great finds! Ok, so moving on. Here are some stocking stuffer ideas to get you started.
:: full moon journal :: the exfoliant scrub soap :: coconut oil sugar scrub ::
:: perpetual calendar :: cozy slippers ::
:: build your own terrarium :: infinity bracelet ::
:: herringbone zipper pouch :: perfume samples ::
I have personally purchased from several of these companies and can speak to the high quality and great products. The soap is one of my absolute favorites, I make sure to buy a bar every year as a Christmas present to my partner, and family members. The perfume samples, moon journal, and terrarium kit are all places I’ve purchased from as well. I love all of them! Especially the perfume, great scents!
November is now far behind us. December came in with a roar, and is going to leave with hopefully just as big of a roar. I still can’t believe 2014 is just around the corner. My favorite part of the holidays is coming up with DIY projects, and gift giving guides. I’ve been blessed with the ability to always be a great gift giver, so I love sharing that with others.
This year I’m taking advantage of my ability and making a few etsy find lists for everyone. Every holiday season I buy 90% of my gifts in Antique stores, local small shops that specialize in hand made creations, and on etsy. It’s important to support local and handmade artists! Shop local! So on this edition, here’s some etsy finds, ornament style!
:: mod snowflake ornament :: folk art redwork owl :: :: felt sheep ornament :: personalized engraved wooden ornament ::
:: candy cane :: crocheted piggie ::
:: needle felted gnome :: dog silhouette bulb ornament ::
:: felt gingerbread men :: felt cat ornament ::
:: mistletoe felt :: santa hat narwhal ornament ::
One of my favorite affordable ( and yet can be incredibly cute!) items is felt. You can do so much with it! Almost all of the items above are under $10, and you can even find some great tutorials on making your own at home.
Stay tuned for some more great etsy finds this week!
October is here! It’s by far my favorite month, and I know that’s being a little biased. Since it’s my favorite month I’ve decided to have a little promo within my etsy shop, The Bone and Arrow. For the rest of the month of October, get free shipping on all orders! I also love doing custom orders so don’t hesitate to reach out to me for them as well.
I’m looking for other blogs in this blog-land that may be interested in swapping a feature giveaway, or even just sponsoring a giveaway. Email me if you’re interested. missmarieomarie @ gmail.com
After many months of hard work, I’ve opened up my etsy shop at last, The Bone And Arrow. I’ll be featuring everything from handmade jewelry, paintings, and DIY projects. I’ll soon be selling custom orders for lampshades, and small framed art pieces.
For now, take a look! More items will be added soon.
One of my particularly favorite activities after a long day is to sit staring blankly at the internet until life starts to make sense. Or until I decide it’s time to go to bed at 8:30pm. Either way, the point of the story is I love to space out and window shop online.
There’s always a few “go-to” items to browse for. Tank tops, dresses, shoes, and of course owl goodies. If you go back far enough you can find posts such as this one where I confess my undying love for owls, the proof being in my ever growing owl collection.
Some of my favorite finds from last night would have to be… *drum roll please*
This plush woodblock printed owl pillow. I’d like one in red and one in gray, please.
Jus’ sayin this owl lamp would look damn cute in my apartment.
A turquoise owl shaped shower caddy? I’m all over it.
I am simply in love with this burnt orange vintage owl cookie jar. I don’t make cookies, but I’ll start!
Macrame owl bag. ‘Nuff said.
I have an overwhelming urge to get the macrame bag and turn it into a potted plant hanger. Although I could just buy a macrame kit on ebay and call it a day.
Yesterday I put together a roundup of just a few of my favorite Mothers Day gift finds for under $50, and today I bring you some really quite adorable Mothers Day cards I’ve found.
A couple of them really had me giggling, and would be perfect for the slightly twisted humor that exists in my family.
thanks for squeezing me out :: source ::
(eye) heart you :: source ::
my life would suck without you :: source ::
one badass mother :: source ::
axe lady :: source :: (I just love the letterpress look)
If you’d like a more eco friendly way to send your Mother a note, you should head over to someecards. They have some of my favorite online cards. Sarcastic and witty, whats not to love?
Feeling inspired yet? I certainly am. Keep stopping by this week, I’ll be putting up a DIY roundup and maybe even a few of my own DIY’s next week.
