Manicure Monday: Snowman

Today I bring you a very festive manicure Monday. I can’t take full credit for this, as I didn’t actually execute the snowman making, but I can certainly attest to how many compliments I’ve received.

My favorite would have to be the tiny top hat and the carrot nose.

The snowman is much easier if you have a nail art pen, such as the one I mentioned in this manicure Monday.

In the photos I made the snowman a little bit gray to make sure he stood out. First you want to take either a nail art pen, or very carefully take the tip of your nail polish brush and create one large circle, with a smaller circle on top of it. Leaving a small enough space in between for the scarf.

Making sure the white dots are completely dry, you want to use a nail art pen, or a toothpick make two small dots for the snowman’s eyes, and three small dots for buttons on the snowman’s body.

Next you want to take the same toothpick or nail art pen and draw two lines coming off from either side of his body, with smaller lines coming off from that. Little twig arms! Next draw a straight line across the top of his head. Then draw two lines coming upwards and fill in for his top hat.

Now your final step! It’s a mismatch of several different steps in one. First take the nail art pen/toothpick (whichever you’ve been working with) and draw his little scarf. This doesn’t have to be perfect. Now make a small orange dot for his carrot nose, and take either the white nail polish you began with or get silver glitter nail polish and make similar small dots all around the snowman. Snow falling! You can even take the white/glitter and make a line across the bottom to give the snowman some snow to sit on.

And you’ve got some adorable nail art to show off for the holidays!
